Greater investment in education, economic development, public health & safety of our youth/communities, infrastructure, social entrepreneurship, bridging/uniting the neighborhoods, new media and positioning Chicago as a global city were key discussion themes.
Proposed follow up actions to build a stronger Chicago included strategic planning, advocacy and financial literacy trainings. We also committed to identify honest brokers for community investment and use citizen diplomacy to create neighborhood ambassadors and community bridge builders. Happy 99th Birthday to the Chicago Community Trust and thank you to Julius & Jada Russell for bringing the discussants and communities together.
